Percentage of A-B employees who participated in the companywide annual draw for $5000 grand prize and one-hundred $50 prizes. If an employee or their spouse visits a primary caregiver, they can enter the draw. There are also local incentives in place for encouraging check-ups.

A-B has contractual agreements enforcing their contractors’ safety programs to meet A-B’s “aggressive” safety standards. A-B has reported their contractors’ accident rates as being much lower than the industry average. They also only select contractors with strong safety records and strong safety plans in place.
A-B provides programs that promote healthy living and well-being (“corporate wellness programs”) such as: access to available fitness facilities; a wellness website; fitness classes; smoking cessation and weight management classes; healthy options in the (corporate) cafeterias; different sporting events and activity days; screenings for breast, prostate, and skin cancer; periodic testing of employees for glucose level, blood pressure, body fat and cholesterol level; health fairs focusing on prevention of musculoskeletal injuries, cardiovascular risks, and stress management; companywide contests to encourage employees to visit physicians
1) Eligible employees (along with their spouses, dependents, and certified domestic partners) who participate in the Weight Watchers weight management program can apply for up to 100 percent reimbursement for the cost of the program.
2) Eligible participants who successfully completed the 12 month tobacco cessation program could apply for 100 percent reimbursement for the costs. They could also request reimbursement for costs of nicotine replacement therapy or non-nicotine prescriptions.

Also the Los Angeles brewery was presented with the 2006 “Fit Business” award from the California Task Force on Youth and Workplace Wellness. They offer healthy, small portions at the cafeteria, fitness classes before and after work, time during the work day to exercise and stretch, educational information, and sports teams, among others.
