General Mills is the world’s sixth-largest food company. It markets products in more than 100 countries such as Green Giant vegetables, Old El Paso Mexican food and Häagen-Dazs ice cream. Their U.S. portfolio includes Yoplait yogurt, Cheerios, Wheaties and other Big G cereals.

They also market strong local brands, such as Diablitos meat spread in Venezuela, Latina pasta in Australia and La Salteña dough in Argentina.

General Mills also owns the subsidiary Small Planet Foods that offers more than 100 products that are USDA certified organic marketed under the Cascadian Farm and Muir Glen brand names.

For their employees, General Mills has many services, including extensive health and wellness programs for many of their facilities. General Mills produced marketing ethics based around guidelines involving advertising foods to children and the Company supports the principles of the Child Advertising Review Unit of the U.S. Better Business Bureau.

General Mills also has two brands focused on organic products, and the Company has devoted 20,000 acres to organic agriculture. General Mills sees the benefits of biotechnology, and believe that customers who prefer specific methods of agriculture will always have alternative choices available to them.
